Hi Kasia,
I hope you're fine. I don't know why I'm supposed to write to you in English. Anyway, I'm going to visit you in two weeks, unless you mind.
Answering you questions, to start working in the UK you don't need to apply to the Settlement Scheme and settled status. But what you need is skilled or temporary worker visa. Later you need to get National Insurance Number but no worries, we'll arrange it here.
I guess you should visit the capital city and if you have more time, I'd recommend going to Scotland with all its castles, lakes and breathtaking views.
Coming here don't take too much. Everything, excepting food, is cheaper than in Poland. Regarding clothes, you should remember that it's rainy and windy here.
Looking forward to seeing you
Kazimierz Łeczyszczykiewicz
