My Holiday

We had a great holiday last year. We went to an island in the Caribbean. It was a long journey by plane, but it was fun. We stayed in a hotel next to the sea. The food was fantastic. There was a swimming pool too. We met a boy and a girl at the hotel. I became good friends with the girl. Her name was Ana and she was from Poland. I went with Ana to the beach every day. We went scuba diving and saw lots of colourful fish. When I flew back to London, I felt very sad because I missed Ana. But we send emails and she's going to visit me soon.

Wyjaśnienie:

the - kiedy mówimy o czymś/kimś konkretnym, np. the man - ten mężczyzna albo coś jest tylko jedno: "The end" na końcu filmu jest tylko jeden koniec tego filmu, the Caribbean - są tylko jedne Karaiby (przynajmniej takie znane).

Nie dotyczy to nazw państw - tam pomijamy całkiem article, chyba że są to nazwy złożone jak the USA, the UK, the UAE
