12th May
It’s been raining heavily all day today, but I left for Bermuda as planned. I won’t see my friends and family again for many months. I am worried about being alone.
26th May
It’s been two weeks since I left New York. I’ve been sailing in terrible storms. I got lost several times.
Over the next two and a half years, Patrick crossed the South Pacific, Indian and North Atlantic oceans. He met many problems along the way.
28th February
I’ve experienced awful, stormy weather today. For the last two months, I’ve also been using equipment that isn’t functioning properly.
25th September
An enormous oil tanker almost crashed into my boat this morning. It has been one of the most terrifying days of my life.
15th November
I’ve arrived back in New York! I’ve just been interviewed by a local TV station about my solo trip around the world.
