One of the advantages of this profession is the contact with people. A doctor knows many human diseases like for example influenza (flu) or pneumonia (napisałam zapalenie płuc bo brzmi trochę lepiej niż zapalenie gardła, ale jeśli chcesz przy tym zostać to throat inflammation). In my opinion, a doctor not only recognises illnesses but also knows how to treat them. (Moim zdaniem lekarz nie tylko rozpoznaje choroby ale także wie jak je leczyć - tamto twoje zdanie musialam zmienić bo nazwa "doctor" nie wskazuje że ta osoba leczy, bo nie ma po angielsku słowa "lekarz"). What is more, doctors can start their own business, a private surgery or a clinic. (Co więcej, lekarze mogą zakładać własny biznes, prywatny gabinet lub przychodnię).
A disadvantage of being a doctor is that he takes bribes even though he gets a salary. Still a doctor must be available twenty-four hours a day without a break. In addition, a doctor decides about a patient's life (życie nie los), for example he must know what to do with him or her, what to prescribe (przepisać). Another disadvantage is that a person who wants to become a doctor must study a very long time.
To sum up this article about advantages and disadvantages of being a doctor I must emphasise that this profession is probably the most difficult job I have ever coma across. So we should respect people who want to be doctors. (Powinniśmy szanować ludzi, którzy chcą być lekarzami.)
