Jeśli pytanie cytowane zaczyna się od słówka pytającego, wtedy cofając czas pamiętajmy, że obowiązuje nas szyk zdania twierdzącego.

Ale cała reszta pytań cytowanych, które zaczynają się tzw. "inwersją" lub operatorem np. did/do/have itd., należy wstawić słowo IF lub WHETHER, a dalej znów szyk twierdzenia wraz z "cofnięciem czasu".
