I'm sure we are not alone in the whole universe. It would be sad if there are ony us. I also think that people in the nearest future will discover life e.g. on Mars. We have to built a giant spaceship and go somewhere, where no human was ever before.
Unless, we will be discovered by aliens first. That is hypothesis that is too possible.
