1 - Every year I help my Mum with Easter preparations - I help with the house chores and grocery shopping. Then my sister and I paint the eggs and prepare the Easter basket.
2 - We put different food in the basket: it is our tradition to put bread and salt, there are always eggs, there is some ham and some sausage, we also put a piece of cake. We decorate the basket with boxwood.
3 - We decorate the table for Easter - there is always a white tablecloth and Easter decorations make the center piece. Because we fast on Saturday before Easter, we eat a lot on Sunday. Mum prepares different food so the table is "buffet" style and everyone can pick their favourites. We have eggs with mayo or horseradish, white borsch with cooked sausage, ham, deli sausage, marinated herring, bread, and tea, coffee or juice to drink.
4 - We get small presents at Easter. In our home it has always been a tradition that children get presents from Easter bunny. Of course we know that there aren't any Easter bunnies bringing presents. We get small stuff, like jewellery, or gift cards. We also make gifts for our parents, like a new kitchen gadget for Mum or a car gadget for Dad.
5 - Not really. When the water fight is small and there is little water, it is OK. But I don't like getting soaked just because someone thinks it's fun. And you can get really sick when you're all wet and it's cold outside.
