In the beginning there was very little information about what happened in apartment 4C in a communal building in the Old Town. The police reported that they found a body of a young woman aged around 30. They said they were alarmed by the neighbors who complained about bad stench coming from the said apartment. The distressed neighbors were suspecting the worst from the very beginning as they did not see their neighbor for more than a week. When the police forced the door they found human corpse with multiple stub wounds in the chest area. According to the police spokesperson the victim was dead for more than five days. It is believed, said Ms. Teresa Jankowska-Budzyn, that the victim knew her murderer. What she did not mention during the first press conference was that the victim was well known to the police. Joanna Miedzynska was an investigating officer with the local crime unit and was one of the best young investigators. This is where the story of the Babyface Vampire begins.
