Most young people think that they can do little or nothing about poverty, homelessness, hunger or global warming.
(1) ________________The two girls, from Nottingham in the UK, were just teenagers when they became active citizens. And although they are still very young, they have done some amazing things to help save the planet.
It all started in 2016 with a school project about world problems. (2) _______________ They also found out that this type of pollution kills thousands of fish, dolphins and sea birds. This news made the girls so shocked and sad that they felt they had to do something. So, with their parents’ help, they set up social media accounts, a website, and even an app where young people can find out how they can reduce plastic pollution. (3) ________________ They also give advice on how to replace plastic bags, cups and bottles with objects that can be reused.
At the start, Amy and Ella worked so hard that their actions quickly became well-known. As a result, they were invited to meet some important politicians. (4) _____________ With so much energy and determination, there is a chance the girls willeventually become very successful.

While they were collecting information for it, Ella and Amy learned that hundreds of tonnes of plastic rubbish arethrown into the oceans and seas every year.
