Hi Jane,
It was great to hear about your new friend, Sally. I'd love to meet her, but I'm not in London. We're living with my grandma this week. I've made a new friend here, too. His name is Ben. He usually (4.1.) lives in the house next to my gran's home with his mum and sister, but he (4.2.) doesn't live here at weekends. He (4.3.) visits his dad in London instead. (4.4.) Do you know what? He has his own channel! Today we (4.5.) are making some videos for the channel. Have a look!

Czasu Present Simple używamy, gdy:
- mówimy o czynnościach rutynowych, typowych — powtarzających się;
- opisujemy cechy i stany ludzi lub przedmiotów;
- opisujemy zjawiska, prawdy ogólne;
- streszczamy film, serial, książkę itp.;
- opisujemy czynności trwające przez dłuższy czas;
- mówimy o rozkładach jazdy autobusów, pociągów, samolotów, o planach zajęć, grafikach itp.
Czasu Present Continuous używamy, gdy:
- mówimy o czynnościach odbywających się w chwili;
- mówimy o sytuacjach/stanach tymczasowych;
- chcemy podkreślić, że jakaś czynność nas irytuje;
- opisujemy plany na najbliższą przyszłość.
