This visit, although brief, had, in the opinion of Mr Baggins, dire consequences. The next day, 13 dwarves came to his house, and finally Gandalf himself. The poor little hobbit didn't know what was happening. From the conversation, however, he concluded that the dwarves were planning some great expedition, and Gandalf advises them to take Bilbo as a "burglar". Then it turned out that the expedition was going to the Mountain to kill the dragon and recover the long-lost treasure of the dwarves.
