Frankly speaking it is a very interesting topic- shops at the airport.
I would like to describe Katowice Pyrzowice airport which is one of the biggest in Poland.
In my opinion we can see there a lot of shops, but what is important, the shops are very expensive, we can find there a lot of brands shops, which sells a lot of things like perfumes, clothes, jewellery.
I think that the shops are there to attract new customers and give them opportunity to buy something at time when they are waiting for their flight.
They are different from shops in my city, because they have only expensive things and are more expensive than supermarket e.g water costs 10 złotych.
To sum up, shops at the airport are specific but needed.
