This is a really nice warm day, can we get some ice cream?- I ask my mom while she looks at a newspaper cover with an enormous boat on it, advertising expensive cruises on Carribean islands.
No honey, unfortunately we don’t have enough money for that- says mom.
I am a little upset, because it is a really hot day and an ice crem cone would be a great refreshing. Suddenly my mom stops, I wonder what is happening because she looks as if she saw a ghost.
-What is it mom? Why are you standing?- I ask her in a bit nervous voice.
-Lena, I think I have an idea-says mom in excitement, and looks at me;
What if we connect a pencil and a spoon and make a spoon-o-pencil! We could sell that and be rich! You could eat as much ice cream as you want and we could go on this cruise!-shouts mom, already thinking about all details of her newest invention.
I worry about her sometimes, I mean
spoon-o-pencil is a great invention, that’s a fact, but who would use that? And I don’t think that by selling it our family would earn enough money to go on a cruise. But who would we be without dreams?
