2 What does a ‘perfect’ diet mean?
I think that there is no such thing as the perfect diet. First of all, diet is commonly understood as the way we routinely eat, there is nothing special about the word. Second of all, ‘the perfect diet’ seems to suggest that there is one particular diet that people should follow to be healthy. This is a harmful claim because people have different bodies and therefore also different dietary needs. I can say that ‘the perfect diet’ is the diet that suits the needs of a given person, providing the organism with all the necessary nutrients necessary for the organism to function normally.
