A. While the manager was looking for a place for us to stay in another hotel, we started wondering what else
could go wrong.

D. The dinner they served us was one of the worst things I’d ever eaten in my life and I wouldn’t like to eat

ALL’S WELL THAT ENDS WELL
It was supposed to be the holiday of our lifetime. We’d planned every detail of the trip carefully
and we thought we were prepared for any potential problem. 7.1. ________ Unfortunately, it wasn’t
there for us but for one of our neighbours who was also going to the airport. He agreed to share
the journey with us so we got to the airport just in time to learn that our flight had been cancelled.
7.2. ________ When we finally landed in Rome, we got totally wet in one of the heaviest storms they
had that summer. Still happy and ready for our adventure, we got to the hotel only to learn that,
because of someone’s mistake, there was no room for us. 7.3. ________ We came up with a lot of
crazy ideas and even made a list to tick them off when they happen. Fortunately, our bad luck
stopped at that hotel and we did have the greatest holiday of our lives.
