The Royal Castle in Warsaw - a baroque-classicist royal castle located in Warsaw at Plac Zamkowy 4. It serves as a museum and representative.
Originally the residence of the dukes of Mazovia, and from the 16th century the seat of the authorities of the First Republic: the king and the Seym (the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate).
During its long history, the Royal Castle was plundered and devastated many times by the Swedish, Brandenburg, German and Russian armies.
