Alaskan Adventure

Last summer, I had an amazing adventure. I went on a wild holiday with two friends to my dream destination – Alaska.

We stayed in a cabin in the middle of the woods.1_D_ There wasn’t any electricity, but the cabin had a little gas cooker and some oil lamps. There were only two rooms – a bedroom and another room that we used as a living room and kitchen. The cabin was very simple. 2___ There was a shower and a toilet – outside! Living like that was hard, but it was the most exciting adventure of my life.

The area was very beautiful. We went in the summer because it was easier than in the winter. We had warm, sunny weather for most of our stay.

Every day we had the same routine. 3___ After that we did household jobs and then we went out to explore the area. In the evenings we made dinner, read books or played games. 4___

Luckily, there was a mobile phone signal in case of emergencies. We nearly used it one day. While we were driving along a mountain road, the car just stopped! 5___ That was our only emergency, but something quite frightening happened one night. We were playing cards in the cabin when we heard a noise. An animal was walking around the outside of the cabin. 6___ In the morning, we found animal tracks on the ground, and marks on the door! It was probably a bear! After that, everyone felt a bit more nervous, and nobody went to the toilet in the middle of the night!

A It was more comfortable than my house!

C But my friend found the problem and repaired it.
